They sell First Hand Foods their animals and First Hand aggregate and schedule across their networks to ensure a consistent supply of fresh meats. In turn, First Hand Foods provide their farmers with meat quality and pasture management information, enabling them to make adjustments as needed to meet First Hand Foods customers’ exacting standards.


1 (2 to 3 lb.) Firsthand Foods Petite City Ham
1 c. honey
¼ c. brown sugar
¼ c.  Stone ground mustard
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
Salt & pepper


Preheat oven to 350°F.

Place ham in a baking dish. Pour ¼ c. of water in the bottom of the baking dish and cover tightly with foil. Place in the oven and bake for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (or until the internal temperature is close to but not yet 145°F).

While the ham is baking, prepare the glaze by combining honey, brown sugar, mustard, and cloves in a small saucepan over medium heat.  Allow the mixture to come to a simmer stirring with a whisk. Remove from heat.

After approximately 75 minutes of baking, brush the ham with the glaze. Turn the oven up to 400°F and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the internal temperature of the ham is 145°F.
